It has been a great year with the Picture Hooks team getting to mix and mingle with some fantastic writers and illustrators both mentors and mentees - as well as publishers and agents. Im so grateful to Debi Gliori for her time and advice she gave to me over this last year and excited about taking the next steps along the path of book illustration.

Along with my sessions with Debi, we took part in drawing and story creating workshops. These were run by the founders of Picture Hooks; Lucy Juckes (from Jenny Brown Associates), Vivian French (prolific writer of fiction, plays, and non fiction for children and young adults) and Linda McClelland (Playfair Education Officer National Galleries & 2016 MBE recipient for her services to Art Education in Scotland) All of who guided us along our way this year with their expertise and thorough knowledge of art for childrens picture books.

The Picture Hooks Exhibition is on at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art One, Belford Road, Edinburgh, and will be running until the 18th of February 2018.
