This collection of prints were created during a 4 month residency in the north of Scotland working at the Highland Print Studio in Inverness and many of the images were inspired from my experiences whilst up living there.
This was my first time working with dry point etching. I found by using a mix of etching and mono printing I could capture the particular atmosphere of tone and quality of line I was looking to create in my drawings.
Because the pressure of printing the engraved line is flattened each time the print is run through the press which means I can only output very small editions of around fifteen to twenty prints per plate.
